Nollywood filmmaker Funke Akindele is set to take her latest production, The Four, to an international audience after announcing a sell-out for its upcoming London premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.
Scheduled for 29 November, the premiere has sold out ahead of the film's planned nationwide cinema release in Nigeria on 11 December, signalling strong audience interest ahead of its theatrical debut.
FilmOne Entertainment, the distributor, confirmed the news in a post on X on Thursday, thanking the audience for the overwhelming response and saying tickets for the London showing were sold out.
The UK premiere was first announced by Akindele through her verified Instagram account, where she described the London screening as an important moment for Nollywood and Nigerian cinema. The event is being organised through a collaboration between Funke Akindele Network and FilmOne Entertainment.
Choosing the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square cinema in London gives the film a global platform and introduces Nigerian cinema to audiences beyond Nigeria.

This is another milestone in the growing global recognition of Akindele's movies, as more Nollywood filmmakers venture into overseas launches, theatre showings, and marketing.
With all her previous work achieving strong box-office success, Akindele has built a name for herself in the Nigerian film industry. The film is set to take this further, and her London launch shows how much interest she will generate for the December release.
FilmOne Entertainment is overseeing the film's distribution in Nigeria.
