Seriously Single Too, the sequel to the 2020 South African movie Seriously Single, will be streaming on Netflix on Friday, 16 October 2026.
Katleho and Rethabile Ramaphakela, siblings, direct the film. Burnt Onion Productions, which made the previous film and Netflix's How To Ruin series, produced the film. The screenplay for the film was written by Lwazi Mvusi. TV Mzansi says Phuthi Nakene, Tshepo Ramaphakela, Katleho Ramaphakela, and Rethabile Ramaphakela produced the film.
The sequel follows best friends Dineo and Noni as they move from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Dineo plans an extravagant holiday for Noni after her boyfriend proposes, taking along a TikToker and her cousin.
Tumi Morake reprises her role as Noni. Dineo is portrayed by the same actress who starred in the previous movie. One publication names her as Fulu Mugovhani, and another as Fulu Modibedi. Yonda Thomas, Buntu Petse, Keke Mphuthi and Thabiso Rammusi round up the cast list.

Netflix revealed the release date when it launched the trailer in mid-September. What Kept Me Up is part of Netflix's 16 October release lineup in Nigeria. The movie is one of many original productions that Netflix has lined up for the last quarter of the year from South Africa; the three-part comedy How To Ruin Diwali: Meet the Parents by the same producers comes out on 30 October.
For the producers, the sequel proves Netflix is ready to invest in sequels to previously successful local comedies it produced in South Africa.
