"Egyptian comedy-thriller Crypto will make its debut on Egyptian screens on 19 November," the film's producers announced. This adds another Egyptian film to Egypt's winter release lineup.

The film's main characters are Hamdy El Mirghany and Ous Ous, two funny actors who began their careers at Masrah Masr. Other actors include Basem Samra, Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Mahmoud, Mohamed Lotfy, Bassant Abou Basha and Sherif Hosny. The film is directed by Sultan Magdaly, and the screenplay is written by Mohab Hussein and Amr Tiam under the guidance of Farouk Mohamed and Mostafa Omar. Ahmed Abdel Aziz is the director of photography.

According to Egypt Telegraph, the plot follows an Italian mafia family searching for their deceased boss's two sons and discovering they are in Egypt to claim the inheritance their father left. The two poor Egyptian brothers decided to pretend to be their heirs.

The report names no producer or distributor.

Crypto follows an intense release schedule of Egyptian films towards the end of the year. Youm7 announced the release of the film on 14 October, along with Ahmed Helmy's Hadouta, set to be released on 11 November, the romantic comedy film Wala Kan Ala Al-Bal, and two other films whose release dates have yet to be set: Leila Baz't Khales by Ahmed Malek and Mamsous, which is a horror film.

No release date for the film outside Egypt has been announced yet.
