Yasser Galal has started shooting his next drama series, Al Qenaa, which is set to compete for viewers during the Ramadan 2027 TV season.
The 15-episode series will explore crime and suspense, positioning it within the competitive Ramadan drama market, when broadcasters and producers roll out some of their key television titles.
Galal leads the cast alongside Merihan Hussein, Heidi Karam and Khaled Selim, with additional performers also joining the production. The series is written by Mohamed El-Soury, directed by Hisham El-Rashidy and produced by Maha Selim.
For the production team, the project adds another title to Egypt's busy television drama slate, with its crime-driven storyline offering a different direction from Galal's most recent screen role.
His previous series, Kolhom Beyhebbo Mody (Everyone Loves Moody), aired during Ramadan 2026. In the social comedy, he played Mahmoud El-Wakil, known as Moody, in a story centred on social relationships and everyday life.

With filming now underway, Al Qenaa is preparing for the 2027 Ramadan season, a key period for television commissioning, audience competition and content launches across the region.
